So let’s get started on our top 10 tips for using blogging techniques to grow your business!
1) How to Improve Search Rankings
Of course, driving traffic is just one part of building a successful business. Ultimately, you want to attract customers who are not only interested in your products or services but also willing and able to pay. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a powerful tool that can help you improve search rankings so more people will click on your site. Having more targeted traffic can have a positive impact on conversion rates, which means more money in your pocket! 2) Finding New Blogging Opportunities
Always have your eyes open for opportunities to write guest posts on related blogs in your industry. Guest blogging is one of the best ways to find new audiences, reach influential people and build relationships that can lead to great opportunities. If you want more traffic and subscribers, blogging tips will help you reach all of these goals. Not only do they provide a proven framework that gets results but they offer valuable insight from people who’ve been there before. The key, however, is making sure you choose quality blogs with engaged readers who actually care about what you have to say—and that’s not always as easy as it sounds!
3) Get Recognized as an Industry Expert
If you’re starting a new business or looking to grow your business, getting recognized as an industry expert can help you build credibility and attract new customers. According to Entrepreneur magazine, being seen as an authority in your industry can also increase website traffic, generate leads and help establish connections with potential clients. At its core, content marketing is about creating valuable information that appeals to your target audience. If you take advantage of blogging techniques and leverage them effectively, you have an opportunity to develop content that will get customers paying attention. Here are 10 tips for using blogging techniques to grow your business: 1. Start a Company Newsletter 2. Write Guest Posts 3. Use Infographics 4. Make Videos 5. Create eBooks 6. Give Free Webinars 7.
4) Use Call-to-Action Buttons
Give your readers a way to take action from your posts. With call-to-action buttons, you can help guide them through your content and get them on their way. Keep in mind that blogging has become a crowded field and standing out is important if you want new customers. If they don’t know exactly what they should do after reading your post, it’s easy for them to click away and read something else instead of taking action. Use different types of call-to-action buttons with varying messages: Read more → Find out more → Learn More → Call-to-action buttons are a good reminder that there is more content available—and they can even link back up to where they left off!
5) Create Interactive Content
Think of ways to add interactivity and get readers involved. Take a poll, run a contest, ask people about challenges they’re facing in their own businesses… any way you can think of to make your content more engaging. The more active your content is, the more likely readers are going to interact with it and return over and over again. And that’s when you’ll see real results! When done right, interactive content drives sales better than plain old text ever could.
6) Incorporate Video Into Your Content Strategy
Nearly half of internet users watched a video online in January, according to GlobalWebIndex’s report on global media habits. While many businesses are still catching up, savvy marketers are leveraging video to bring their content strategy full circle: blogging tips. Here’s how you can use blogging techniques and video together.
7) Monetize Your Blog with Affiliate Links
This is one of my favorite blogging tips for growing your business. By adding an affiliate link to a product you’re promoting, you have another opportunity to make money from your audience, while also creating more interest in that product. The last thing you want as a blogger is a low conversion rate (or sales) from your traffic—affiliate links help turn readers into customers. But with great power comes great responsibility: Always be honest about what you’re writing about and disclose affiliate links when necessary! You’ll likely see higher conversion rates if you only add an affiliate link when there are real reasons why someone would buy something on that particular site rather than another similar one.
9) Build Relationships with Other Influencers in Your Niche
Infographics are one of my favorite ways to build relationships with influencers. If you can get them to feature your infographic, even better! But you don’t need a famous blogger’s help. Don’t be afraid to email people in your niche and offer them a great piece of content. Do your research on their audience and what they may want, then take your shot. And if you’re worried about whether or not someone will take advantage of you: don’t be! The worst that can happen is they say no, but most people will welcome some free content as long as it’s high quality and genuinely helpful. If they do feature it, remember – any links or mentions should have a link back to you first!
10) Incorporate Social Media Posts into Blog Posts
When you’re working on your next post, think about how you can incorporate social media into it. Posting your content on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ is a great way to connect with followers who might not have read through your entire story. You can even write each section as a separate post and schedule them for social media use or post them all at once. As long as you remember to mention your latest content within your posts, people will be able to find it easily by searching or scrolling through their newsfeeds. Keep in mind that, when possible, including images of charts or graphs in posts is also a good idea because it helps readers visualize what you’re trying to tell them.
